Denise Buisman Pilger’s work reflects her love of photography, painting and travel configured into graphic pseudo-realities of everyday life filtered through her own whimsical creative lens. Her creative process involves digital photo manipulation, image transfer, acrylic photo collage, acrylic paints/–mediums, and other innovative techniques. In her most recent series – Discoveries: Montreal – Denise explores each of the island city’s 34 boroughs.
Discoveries: Montreal is a ‘series’ and although all the pieces can be enjoyed on their own, they are more powerful as a whole. Therefor the artist has decided to create an art book featuring all the pieces from the series. To help with the costs the artist is running a crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo: http://www.indiegogo.com/
The book and the show are both scheduled for the fall of 2013. More information about the artist and her project can be found at http://denisebuismanpilger.com
